After discovering a dog at an animal shelter that bears a striking resemblance to Star War's Chewbacca, a young man can't help but snap a photo of the unique-looking canine on his Samsung Galaxy to share with the world.
The photo eventually makes it onto the phone feed of a particularly determined young girl who begs her father to adopt the pup, only to realize upon their arrival at the shelter that another family beat them to it. Disappointed, the girl turns to leave... at least, until she spots the rather Darth Vader-like feline up for adoption across the room. Samsung says to connect your Galaxy this holiday — even if it's a galaxy far, far away.
The core message of the campaign is to illustrate the inherent connectivity of the Samsung Ecosystem.
The spot was produced in partnership with Lucasfilm in advance of the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and ran in over 30 countries as part of their global holiday campaign.
